EP - Starting of EP (2)

After careful consideration I have decided to split my 5000 word essay in to 3 sections:
1) Astronomy. I will write about how mystics and fortune tellers view the universe.
2) Astrology. Here I will write how science has interpreted the universe.
3) Religion. This section will be about how the stars and the universe has come in to religions.

I will now start researching Astronomy and write up the section for this before looking at the other two sections.

EP - Starting of EP (1)

I have finally decided to stick with "stars and the universe" as my extended project essay.
This topic comes across to me as interesting and slightly challenging.

I am looking forward to start writing about it.

Im now going to go and think about the different sections of this that I will write about.

EP - First ideas 3

After researching "the Starbucks effect" which while I found was very interesting it was also an extremely hard topic to research. There was not a lot of resources on it.

I am now currently researching Stars and the universe and how it has affected society today E.G. astronomy and astrology.

Hopefully this will be the topic I will stick with.

EP - First Ideas (2)

After researching Pharmacology and how drugs affect the body biochemically I have realised that this is not the topic I will base my extended project on.

I found the topic not as interesting as I thought it would be. While there is a lot of complexity to the topic, it is very factual and boring.

I am now starting to research "The Starbucks Effect" which I found while looking around for a new topic.

I am going to research about it and decide if this is the topic I will choose for my extended project.

First ideas for EP (Extended Project): Drugs and the effect on the human body.

My name is Metin Smith.

My first idea for an extended project will be around drugs and the effect that they have biochemically on the human body.

I have chosen this project because chemistry is something that intrigues me, from the way that the neurotransmitters produce different hormones to the way that our brain interprets them.

I will be looking in detail at what type of drugs have what type of effect and how, long term, they can destroy the body.

I am going to the library today to check out a couple of books on neurotoxins and neurochemistry. Hopefully these will be useful in my research.
